Capri Sun Organic

Delicious Fruit Punch

I stopped drinking soft drinks many years ago. The high amount of High Fructose Corn Sirup and all the unhealthy ingredients concerned me a lot. I will keep drinking water and teas but for those people who don’t want to stop consuming their favorite beverage, I have good news.

CAPRISUN ORGANIC from Kraft Foods Inc. provides a much healthier beverage which carries the USDA Seal. They have a variety of these organic punches with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. I contacted them to find out more about the new product. I was lucky and got the answers below which I would like to quote:

“We know parents are concerned about the amount of calories in 100% juice products so we made Capri Sun Organic with 66% juice to limit the calories to 70 while still providing a great taste and one serving of fruit per pouch. In addition we’ve fortified this product with 100% Daily Value of Vitamin C.

Organic is a labeling term that indicates that the food or other agricultural product has been produced through methods approved by organic certification agencies.
These methods integrate cultural, biological, and mechanical practices that foster cycling of resources, promote ecological balance, and conserve biodiversity. Synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, irradiation, and genetic engineering may not be used. Only products that have been certified as meeting the USDA’s requirements for organic production and handling may carry the USDA Organic Seal.”

Since I didn’t try these Organic Beverages, I cannot make a statement about the taste. But I think especially parents should give it a try and provide their children a healthier substitute.
